Description
The Warranty Administrator assists with all warranty related issues. This includes assisting in the warranty process, filing warranty for all failed units and components every time a unit fails, and being responsible for ensuring the timeliness of the warranty procedure and ensuring refunds are distributed appropriately.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track, and facilitate the timely processing of warranty claims for both internally produced and externally purchased product.
- Interface with the customer by answering incoming customer calls and handling various customer driven issues.
- Take phone orders from customers, creating invoices for appropriate orders, generate shipping labels for related shipments.
- Assist in preparing reports to track warranty claim rates, faults found, and conduct necessary root cause analysis.
- Responsible for specific customer shipments and making shipping arrangements.
- Provide quotations to customers and provide assistance on any customer related demands in the warranty department.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- 2 years of prior Warranty Administration experience.
- Experience with the diagnostic and repairs of internal combustion engines
- Excellent PC skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Applies sound judgement when making decisions.
