POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a vehicle and to transport customers' goods to/from the vehicle. Driver manages and assists the moving crew in packing, wrapping, inventory and transport of customer's possessions where necessary. Represents the company in a professional manner while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Reports To: Operations Dispatcher and the Operations Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- 21 years of age
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Crew Lead
- Clean driving record with Driver's License
- CDL Class A or B (preferred)
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100lbs unassisted
- Ability to produce the required tonnage per hour dependent on job factors.
- Adhere and follow ALL company 'Safety' practices, policies and procedures
- Time Management & Organizational Skills a Must
- Technology savvy and adaptable to new programs and processes
- Ability to read, write, basic math skills to understand, and follow all written and verbal directions/documents
- Ability to follow directions and exercise sound judgment and decision making
- Pass all Company Pre-Employment Checks

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Including but not limited to the following:
- Drive the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner.
- Responsible for the legal operation of the vehicle.
- Responsible for locking, parking as well as cleaning the vehicle.
- Carry out daily checks on vehicle - oil, water, lights, fluids, tires.
- Report on any accident to vehicle or its load.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Follows schedules, work, and shipping orders
- Ensure adequate packing materials/equipment are on the vehicle.
- Plan jobs accordingly to make necessary adjustments if needed.
- Ability to think outside the box to achieve maximum results.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Manage and execute the loading, transportation, and delivery of customer goods in accordance to our standards and procedures
- Ability to run the job without supervision.
- Train and assist new employees when needed.
- Ensure paperwork for each move is complete and returned to appropriate member of staff.
- Collect payment if/when required and hand to office or night warehouseman.
- Notify and communicate with appropriate member of staff should any problems occur.
- Display professional conduct, courtesy and manners when entering and performing work in customers home or business

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, crawl, sit, talk, move about, hear and speak. May be required to work in restricted spaces and/or under difficult lighting and access conditions. Noise level may be high when operating power equipment. Employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions when transporting materials. The employee must be able to lift frequently up to 100 pounds and ask for assistance in lifting items that are bulky or excessively heavy or appear to be beyond the employee capability. Employee is required to properly use such safety equipment as in appropriate to the work to prevent injury to self or other.
