What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truck Driver CDL A position at M.R. Williams, Inc?
Description
Drivers are responsible for transporting goods from corporate warehouse via tractor trailer trucks. Drivers deliver primarily to convenience sores and/or various colleges in multiple locations. Drivers are responsible for the merchandise on the truck, timely deliveries, and confirmation of the same. Drivers will typically leave the corporate warehouse between 1:00AM and 5:00AM. Deliveries are made in all weather conditions.
The driver's on the road drive time is between 1 to 11 hours per day. He/she will handle hand truck with 300-400 lbs. on a downhill 14 foot ramp to unload products off and up the back of the ramp of the truck. The driver will deliver all products to customer locations. while following DOT rules and regulations. The driver will be responsible for making timely deliveries to the various locations. Follow check in procedure using a handheld scanner. Drivers are to keep a clean safety record.
Requirements
Candidate Requirements:
CDL A license
2 years of driving experience
GED/High School Diploma
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
Repetitive motions, i.e., bending, squatting, kneeling, etc.
Ability to frequently climb in and out of truck
