What are the responsibilities and job description for the Unique Assets Administrator position at M&T Bank?
Overview:
The Unique Assets Administrator will support the Unique Assets Team to ensure compliance and proper administration for certain unique asset properties. In doing so, the Unique Assets Administrator will ensure compliance with the policies, procedures and requirements of unique asset administration.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the oversight of closely held business assets that are held in fiduciary accounts where the Bank is acting as trustee or another similar, capacity
- Support the Unique Assets Officer in the oversight of closely held business assets, including but not limited to monitoring of receipts made by the LLC or LP, oversight of allocations made from the LLC or LP so that they are allocated property between trust principal and trust income, oversight of the governing agreement, monitoring of capital calls and other similar receipts from the LLC or LP
- Support the administration and oversight of other unique assets as needed, including but not limited to notes, loans and liabilities.
- Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls in accordance with Company or regulatory standards and policies.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of two years of experience at a bank or another similar financial institution. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a combined minimum of six years of higher education and work experience, including at least two years’ experience at a bank or similar financial institution
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Education and Experience Preferred:
Advanced degree
Minimum of 5 years work experience at a bank or another similar financial institution
Experience with trust administration, audit or compliance, preferably with a focus with unique asset administration
