What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietitian position at M2 Healthcare?
Facility in Brooklyn and Far Rockaway seeking a registered dietitian.
DUTIES:
- Provide nutritional care for residents in accordance with the facility policies and procedures and as consistent with guidelines developed by the New York State Department of Health, and Federal governing bodies of long-term care facilities.
- Meet weekly with an interdisciplinary team to review and adjust residents’ plan of care.
- Assess nutrition needs and identifies nutrient requirements according to specific needs of residents such as tube feeding and bariatric residents.
- Work closely with the Speech-Language Pathologist to ensure appropriate diet consistency.
- Update diet order and menu changes in computer menu software daily
· Monitor Resident meal service to ensure diet modifications are followed
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Dietitian preferred
- Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- Supervisory experience in healthcare settings
- Exceptional interpersonal & leadership skills
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal guidelines
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Sigma Care software and menu systems preferred
