M9 Solutions is seeking aChemical/System Engineer to work on a government contract for a client located inArlington, VA or Charles County, MD. An active Secret clearance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work and partner with client organizations to provide leadership and vision for safe and cost-effective execution of production capabilities for energetic materials and related applications (munitions, rockets, warheads, etc.).
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives and key decision makers and achieve client satisfaction in all areas of performance.
- Ensure proper execution of the project including planning, scheduling, and procurements per the customer's requirements.
- Develop, plan, and execute goals and objectives to support the client's objectives.
- Responsible for the implementation of safety and quality programs by all project staff.
- Assure business practices align with contract terms such as scope of work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Work Authorization: US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or chemistry with 5 years of experience.
- 5 years of experience coordinating and integrating diverse stakeholders including agencies, programs, and contractors.
- Proficiency in a wide variety of analytical techniques for monitoring solvated and crystalized synthetic small molecule production.
- Experience with management of multiple simultaneous programs and/or projects.
- Expertise in synthesis scaling and process design.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, prioritization, effectively leading, and coordinating multiple teams.
- Experience responding to sudden changes in program funding and priorities.
- Familiarity with traditional analytical techniques.
- Knowledge of mass and heat transport in chemical process systems.
- Ability to continuously learn to ensure technical competence.
- Quick to learn synthetic pathways for producing energetic materials and their precursors.
- Ability to provide clear written and oral briefings including the ability to adapt content for specific audiences.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- An active Secret clearance is preferred.
- Doctorate or master's degree in philosophy, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with the production, handling, processing, and design of energetic materials related to defense applications.
- Knowledge of process engineering, integration, quality requirements, and system qualifications.
- Experience managing production modernization projects, including new capabilities design and development.

- M9 Solutions' pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
