- Machine Loader / Rigger
Schedule (1st Shift):
- Monday thru Friday; 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
- Overtime is coming in early and/or Saturday mornings
Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
Job Description:
The primary tasks involve loading machinery sections onto a flatbed trailer for shipment:
- Loading sections of Industrial machinery weighing up to 2000 pounds onto flatbed trailer
- Loading to take place within interior dock using a 6-ton capacity forklift and/or a 10-ton overhead crane
- Follow pre-determined load procedure drawings illustrating machine component placement on trailer
- Interact with truck driver in determining proper strap-down procedure of machine sections
- Assist with covering machine sections with tarp to protect from weather
- Assist with prepping machine sections with braces, shrink wrap, etc, prior to loading/tarping
- Verify all components are included and secured on shipment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with forklifts and overhead cranes is a must
- Ability to read and interpret illustrative drawings/blueprints
- Decent communication skills
