What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker - level 1 position at MacAllister Machinery?
Objective
Position duties include but are not limited to: minor facility maintenance and upkeep, trash removal, equipment check-in, minor equipment assembly, writing delivery pick-up tickets and basic mechanical duties on machines.
Responsibilities
- Site maintenance including cleaning machines so they are neat in appearance and arranging equipment in yard in proper order by classification.
- Minor facilities repair and maintenance
- Clean and prepare equipment to be serviced and repaired.
- Equipment check-in.
- Basic machine maintenance (i.e. check & change oil).
- Trash collection and removal.
- Minor equipment assembly.
- Keep equipment clean and organized on the yard, maintain wash bay and yard clean and professional looking at all time
- Keep grass cut and trash picked up around outside of fence and all of yard.
- Grease, lube, and service equipment as assigned by coordinator or Shop Leadman.
- The deadline, service line, and equipment staging areas are to be kept clean and organized at all times.
- Deliver and pick up equipment as assigned by the sales coordinator.
- Complete any and all special assignments or projects from the store manager in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education with technical training.
- Entry level position with technical or farming equipment background would be a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- May need to be able to maintain Class B CDL but not required
- Ability to conduct self in a professional manner at all times
