Role Summary:

We are seeking a Head of IT to oversee our company's information technology infrastructure and operations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our IT systems are secure, scalable, and robust enough to meet the needs of our fast-paced, high-growth defense technology startup. Your expertise will be pivotal in developing a strategic IT roadmap, managing cybersecurity risks, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Management:
   Build, mentor, and oversee a high-performance IT team to manage day-to-day operations.

2. IT Strategy:
   Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company’s business objectives and growth plans.

3. Infrastructure and Architecture:
   Ensure the design and implementation of scalable, robust, and secure IT infrastructure.

4. Cybersecurity:
   Establish and maintain best practices for cybersecurity to protect company data and intellectual property.

5. Vendor Management:
   Evaluate and manage relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors to ensure the best ROI and performance.

6. Budget and Resources:
   Oversee IT budgets, ensuring strategic allocation of resources.

7. Compliance and Regulations:
   Ensure that the IT department is in compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements.

8. Business Continuity:
   Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

9. Internal Support:
   Ensure that internal IT support processes are efficient and customer-focused.

10. Project Management:
    Oversee major IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of IT experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Strong understanding of network architecture, data management, and cybersecurity.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the defense or aerospace industry.

• Certifications in cybersecurity or network management.

Ideal Candidate:

A technology leader with strong strategic vision and hands-on experience, who can effectively manage both the technical and administrative aspects of an IT department. Must be capable of working in a fast-paced startup environment while maintaining high standards for security and efficiency.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in all offers and are considered part of Mach’s total compensation package. Salary : $120,000 - $180,000
