Reliability Technician – Optics
Seeking self-motivated individual to support development of new products, wafer acceptance testing and evaluation of process improvements for the Optics business. Will interface with design, product, yield, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to help ensure the qualification for these products occurs seamlessly and on time.
Candidate will be responsible for performing reliability work to support qualification and characterization of optics products. This role is hands on and will be performing reliability testing such as HTOL, burn-and post stress testing. They will be trained to perform performance testing (LIV for example).
This position requires attention to detail, knowledge of understanding of test fundamentals as well as strong communication skills and m echanically inclined.

Responsibilities include:
- Summarize and analyze test data for reliability and engineering teams
- Improve reliability processes to drive efficiencies
- Help engineers evaluate risk when developing or improving processes
- Characterize components for electrical performance and against published specifications.
- Design and construct fixtures for reliability testing.
- Meeting all development schedules
- Track and schedule burn in oven and LIV tester calibration
- Act independently to uncover and resolve issues
- Organize, document and perform device reliability stress activities.
- Learning to help service/maintain assembly equipment as time allows
- Associates degree in electronics or similar discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years’ experience with reliability level work (semiconductor or optics)
- Working knowledge and understanding of electronics and semiconductor devices
- Self-motivated to learn and contribute to the Lightwave team
