What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Wholesaler position at Macquarie Group Limited?

As an Internal Wholesaler, you will be responsible for developing new and building upon existing relationships with financial advisors/registered representatives in the broker-dealer network within their territory, primarily through outbound and inbound sales calls. In this role you will be expected t maintain open communication with External Partner (Wholesaler) which may include daily review of sales numbers, information updates from calls and meetings (internal / external) regarding topics that may impact the territory and updates on communications from management. Maintaining territory databases via contact management system, log phone calls, meetings, emails, and notes will also be encompassed within your role.
Additional key responsibilities include:
- Growing the firms market share within the territory through consultation with financial advisors/registered representatives on our products.
- Proactively educating financial advisors/registered representatives regarding the firms distributed products and benefits making recommendations to their clients
- Striving to become a knowledgeable resource to the broker-dealer network and internal associates on all aspects of the investment industry, competitors (direct and indirect), and products available in the market
- Responding to technical product and competitive positioning questions as appropriate
- Complying with all rules and regulations of selling securities as outlined by FINRA and SEC as well as any internal guidelines established
- Participating in client seminars, conferences, and education forums for purposes of educating our financial advisors/registered representatives
Your 4 years’ work experience in the Financial Services industry paired with strong sales skills, the ability to handle and resolve customer issues with minimal guidance, strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build effective relationships and strong advisory services background with progressive level of proven results will all make you stand out as an ideal candidate for this role. Skills such as excellent telephone communication and etiquette, exemplary interpersonal communication and presentation skills, being detail-oriented, possessing strong time management and organizational skills and diplomacy in client interactions will all be advantageous as well. Lastly, being a proactive, innovative self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment are key.

- Series 7 & Series 63 licenses required
