Job Overview
The Creative Production Coordinator role reports directly to the Senior Director, Creative Producer for Macy’s Branded Entertainment, assisting show producers in creative logistic and event production for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This role supports the creative team in various aspects of event production by coordinating the details for performing elements.
Essential Functions
• Scheduling sub-committee calls or Teams meetings.
• Supports Creative Producer by building decks/presentations, proofreading scripts, etc
• Maintains proper communication related to operations and logistics with vendors.
• Supports creative team with coordinating rehearsals and recording sessions as needed. Assist Creative Producer with music preparation, studio selection, talent transportation and music production for pre-records.
• Supports casting process and creative development of performance programs (marching bands, large performance groups, etc) through outreach, director and actor communication.
• Maintains the line-up in both weekly communication and data entry
• Prepares and updates official handbooks, training manuals, pitch decks, etc
• General office duties, including making copies, facilitating catering and building access for meetings, and assisting with deliveries and mailings
• Event production or production logistics: assists with operation, load in/load out activities, and/or event set up/strike for various Macy’s Parade events and trainings.
• Project coordination: team budgets and vendor relations, generates follow-up lists, calendar of deliverables, reminders and deadlines
• Coordinates team calendar, production and volunteer meetings, trainings, etc
Qualifications and Competencies
Education Requirements
Min/Preferred Education Level Description
• College degree (or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience working in the performing arts with a background in film, music, dance, theatrical/event production, stage management or company management preferred
• Computer and general technical competency required
