Our small farm is looking for an office and store associate to help us with a number of projects.In the winter, we open up our retail front to sell our mandarins and also coordinate fundraising events for numerous groups. This person juggles supporting the Orchard Operations. This means packing and sorting fruit in the farm stand, and organizing holiday items in our store.
During the Mandarin Season - November through February, this person coordinates sales and supports the fruit stand. Retail experience is a plus as you're doing it all in the Mandarin Season!
On the off days, this person is helping with the office and the sales and marketing initiatives.
The ideal person must have an interest in working in farm environment.
Position Responsibilities:
- Welcomes customers by greeting them in person or on the telephone, referring inquiries
- Answers inquiries in a professional manner and a high level of customer service
- Enters customers information into company database
- Perform light clerical duties, such as typing, filing, assembling brochures, ordering supplies, special projects, etc.
- Ensuring sales center is clean, orderly and presentable at all times
- Helps with inventory management for store, like bagging mandarins, and stocking shelves
- Helps with harvesting as necessary
- Coordinate and scheduling pickers
Sales, Marketing and Administrative Responsibilities
- Outbound calls, sales, cold-calls
- Manages marketing initiatives for fundraising and sales for Mandarin Season
- Establishes partner projects
- Managing and maintaining environment
- Research and data entry
- Errands and event set-up
Qualifications and Skills:
- Professional Office Experience Preferred
- Positive, Upbeat attitude, well-groomed appearance
- Energetic, reliable, and punctual
- PC Skills: Google Docs, CRM a plus, Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability
