What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Claims Analyst position at Madico, Inc.?
JOB SUMMARY:
Serves as an adjunct to the Technical Director and Quality Manager to assure customer claims are reviewed, documented, and processed in a timely manner. Also responsible for maintaining and updating all the associated Quality Department databases and serves as back-up for the incoming Quality Tech.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Responsible for following ISO processes and procedures
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1.Bachlor's degree in Technical Discipline, specifically, Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Plastics or Materials.
2.Specific certifications and experience may substitute for degree
3.Statistical process control techniques and assessment experience
4.Root Cause Analysis, Corrective Action and Improvement Plan experience
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
1. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Access
2.Experience with ISO
3.Experience with quality improvement techniques, technical audit and corrective/preventative action is desired.
4. Six Sigma and lean manufacturing experience desired
5. Experience in a web handling environment (roll-to-roll) preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand as needed. May require walking primarly on a level surface for periodic periods during the day. Also, reaching above the shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to move materials thought the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. Working conditions are normal for laboratory and manufacturing environment. While performing duties of this position, the employee must take the appropriate safety precautions and/or don the appropriate safety PPE when working in areas that contain fumes, airborne particles, ultra violet radiation, toxic or caustic chemicals, ect. The employee may be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. This position may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Occasional travel may also be required.
WORK ENVIRORMENT
The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and steel toe or composite toe shoes.
