Due to continued growth, we are searching for our next rockstar Paralegal for our office in Ridgeland, MS. This is a full-time position, with a competitive salary and benefits package offered.
We are a busy personal injury and family law firm in Ridgeland, MS looking for a full-time Paralegal. The Paralegal is responsible for gathering, preparing, and summarizing discovery materials. The Paralegal must be a self-starter and comfortable with minimal supervision. The Paralegal will have close client contact. The Paralegal will assist in other office responsibilities as necessary and as assigned, such as reports to the Operations Manager and Owner regarding cases and trust account balances. The Paralegal will prepare and review pleadings with attorney supervision, assist the attorney in preparation for hearings and trials, and complete investigations and fact-finding for cases. The Paralegal will provide administrative support for the attorney and assist with transaction closings and maintaining up-to-date and accurate files within our file management system.

We are looking for someone who has at least 3 years’ experience as a paralegal. We need someone who can hit the ground running and will not need initial training beyond familiarizing with our systems and internal procedures.
Experience working in a Personal Injury and/or Domestic/Family law firm is a strong positive. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail is required.
MS Word /Adobe Acrobat/ Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, and Google Sheets) experience required. Knowledge of Apple computers is a plus, but not required.

Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, trials, and closings
- File legal documents with the court system
- Transcribe dictations and prepare legal correspondence
- Manage and organize documents using document management systems
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain confidentiality of client information
- Answer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Assist with contract drafting, review, and management
- Provide clerical support to attorneys, including data entry and file organization
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Attention to detail for accurate transcription and proofreading
- Proficient in using document management systems and other legal software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with phone etiquette in a professional setting
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
