Retail/Commercial bank looking to bring on a new "CCO" to join their team. In this role you will manage over an 18 person compliance group. This company is in the office full time.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a compliance management strategy that reduces risk, promotes operational efficiency and fosters high quality customer service.
- Oversee the monitoring of the compliance of the anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing regime, the Bank Secrecy Act/USA Patriot Act, Community Reinvestment Act, FATCA and federal and state banking department regulations (including Regulation W, and the various consumer and retail lending and deposit regulations) applicable to the Bank and its related subsidiaries and affiliates.
- Ensure conformity with regulations and compliance directives and policies (i.e. Bank Secrecy, Know your Customer, OFAC, consumer state and federal banking regulations) and offers assistance with other regulatory requirements.
- Respond to requests and coordinates communications with the various regulatory agencies, customers, and executive management.
- Serve as the primary contact with all regulatory examiners during compliance examinations of the Branch.
- Respond to all compliance issues noted by state and federal bank regulatory authorities (Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the FDIC) and internal and external auditors and counsel.
- Manage and coordinates effective follow-up processes for examination and audit exceptions.
- Develop and supervises the development of written policies and procedures to ensure an effective compliance program.
- Prepare reports to the audit committee regarding the compliance program and compliance examination results.
- Reviews, analyzes and disseminates to the appropriate units new and pending laws, regulations and regulatory changes that potentially affect activities.
