SUMMARY:

This role supports the Finance department initiatives and assists the Accounting Team with a wide variety of functions which include transactional processing, financial analysis, revenue recognition, and cost allocation, program and annual audit support, process improvements and automation, and the implementation of financial and compliance controls. S/He serves as a key resource for the organization and provides daily financial oversight to ensure that the financial records are complete and comply with generally accepted accounting principles, policies, and regulations, to facilitate solid decision support.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

• Play a key role in the monthly and year-end closing processes
• Complete accurate and timely monthly financial statement preparation and analysis
• Monitor expense activity for trends required accruals and policy compliance
• Analyze revenue and cost recognition for conformance with new and existing accounting guidance
• Prepare reconciliations and supporting schedules for assigned general ledger accounts and review those prepared by other staff members
• Review intercompany account activity and prepare account reconciliations and elimination entries
• Account for fixed assets, depreciation and amortization
• Support payroll administration
• Collaborate in the external and internal audit processes
• Continually coordinate process improvements and maintain accounting policies, procedures and controls in accordance with sound accounting principles, applicable regulations and best practices
• Contribute to process re-engineering and automation of repetitive tasks
• Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis, tax filings and budgeting

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• 1-3 years of Accounting experience
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred
• Sage Intacct experience a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting principles
• Individual must be a self-starter, accurate and reliable

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, matrixed environment
• Collaborative, team player able to identify and sensitively manage the needs of stakeholders, partners, and team members
