Job Summary:
This position serves as a subject matter expert for rotating equipment in support of the pipeline and terminal facilities. Assists with the preventative maintenance on existing rotating equipment and performs hydraulic modelling for proper selection of new rotating equipment assets. Manages budget initiatives for the preventive and predictive maintenance of rotating equipment. Supports and provides technical assistance for field technicians, operations and project managers on design, installation, and operation of rotating equipment throughout the system. This position is knowledgeable in both industry and company standards. Oversees pump installations when necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as a Project Manager of the Equipment Technology Program.
Provides technical writing to develop Equipment Technology Program Specifications and Procedures.
Collects pertinent rotating equipment data and maintains information database.
Provides technical support to Operations, Engineering & Construction, Asset Integrity Engineering, and Commercial groups with Rotating Equipment.
Develop planned equipment overhauls based on vibration and efficiency analysis data. Manages planned equipment overhaul expenses within defined budgets and complete monthly financial forecast.
Identify and implement pump modifications that will improve pipeline operating efficiency.
Reviews/analyzes pump equipment maintenance practices and develops and/or modifies equipment maintenance practices to meet business needs. As a Subject Matter Expert, may provide guidance to Engineers and ensures designs meet company, industry and regulatory standards.
Oversees pump installations and ensures installations are executed correctly. Has final "sign off" approval once installations are complete.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a related industry and field with Bachelor of Science in Engineering
Professional Engineering License preferred.
This position will be filled at a level commensurate with the candidate's education and experience.
