Who is Magellan Midstream Partners?

Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. is a publicly traded partnership that primarily transports, stores and distributes refined petroleum products and crude oil based in Tulsa, Okla. Formerly a part of Williams Companies, Magellan began trading as Williams Energy Partners in February 2001. In September 2003, we changed our name to Magellan Midstream Partners and began trading under the stock ticker MMP.

Magellan has a 9,800-mile refined products pipeline system with 54 connected terminals as well as 25 independent terminals not connected to our pipeline system and two marine storage terminals (one of which is owned through a joint venture). In addition, we own approximately 2,200 miles of crude oil pipelines and storage facilities with an aggregate storage capacity of about 37 million barrels, of which 27 million are used for contract storage. Approximately 1,000 miles of these pipelines, the condensate splitter, and 30 million barrels of this storage capacity (including 24 million barrels used for contract storage) are wholly-owned, and the remainder is owned through joint ventures.

Total Rewards Analyst Job Summary

Total Rewards is a specialized area of Human Resources focused on the design of a holistic framework of financial and non-financial rewards that reflect the organization's strategy to attract, motivate, engage, and retain employees.

Activities include developing human resource total reward strategies and practices to meet business needs. Plans, administers, calculates, and reviews activities concerned with total rewards.

A summary of primary job responsibilities includes:

  • Researches and analyzes key perspectives (employee, external labor market, cost, and workforce requirements)
  • Manages, communicates, and monitors plan results
  • Analyzes and models merit, other salary increases, human capital project economics, benefit claims, etc.
  • Manages various total rewards systems
  • Analyzes market data to assess the organization's competitive position
  • Administers incentive programs
  • Administers health and welfare, wellness, recognition, and retirement programs
  • Collaborates with total rewards consultants and internal stakeholders

Administers and analyzes total rewards, policies and plans for Magellan’s general and executive population. Administers Board of Director (BOD) pay and provides required financial disclosures. Analyzes and evaluates total rewards for market competitiveness and compliance. Performs complex analyses and reporting. Researches, analyzes and makes recommendations regarding the development of new or improved total rewards programs, system enhancements and/or implementations, and actively engages in efforts to improve plans and automation efforts for reporting and analysis. Consults with all levels of management and works closely with other stakeholders regarding total rewards programs.

Education Requirements

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study
