Role Summary

Accountable for analyzing, designing, developing, delivering and evaluating engagement and development programs for the organization. Schedules, run and evaluate seminars, workshops and self-paced trainings, to company employees. Actively and consistently engage and encourage employees at all levels within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create as needed and maintain employee engagement meeting schedule.
  • Conduct/facilitate employee engagement meetings.
  • Analyze and quantify employee engagement meeting results to create action item recommendations to management team.
  • Analyze engagement needs, work with management for solutions, document and evaluate outcomes.
  • Work with management team to find solutions and implement engagement and development initiatives.
  • Participate and present in monthly All Employee Meetings about the status of engagement and development initiatives.
  • Directly responsible to work with management team to achieve employee engagement and turnover targets.
  • Engage employees throughout the facility on a daily basis.
  • Drive effective communication between employees, departments, and union leadership (bridging communication gaps.)
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams / efforts.
  • Attend and participate in all production meetings.
  • Analyze training needs, research training module options and create training materials as needed.
  • Conduct identified or created training modules or courses. Create, pass out, track, and file certificates.
  • Work with shop floor management to ensure training matrixes are being maintained.
  • Research, Supply, and Implement Shop Floor Leadership development program.
  • Research, Supply, and Implement development for future Shop Floor Leadership.
  • Educate employees on the range of resources that are available to them for personal and professional development.
  • Create and Maintain Salary and Shop Floor Leadership Training Matrix while working closely with management team to make sure we are reaching developmental goals.
  • Tracking employee evaluations at all levels and follow-up with leadership as needed.
  • Support HR Manager and Management in Succession Planning goals.
  • Assist in Process Change Structure development; bridge engagement gaps.
  • Proactively identify risks/issues, providing solutions, resolving/issues, and overcoming hurdles to drive results.
  • Work with Corporate and Local Management to organize, communicate, and implement annual Employee Opinion Survey.
  • Coordinate with HR Team to participate in all Temp and New Hire Orientations.
  • Follow-up and maintain communication with Temp and New Hire employees through the life cycle of their onboarding.
  • Learn and maintain general knowledge of company resources, benefits, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure the company's compliance.
  • Conduct all employee interactions with the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in all safety and ergonomics meetings.
  • Actively participate in the rotation and management of the rotations as it relates to ergonomics and employee concerns.
  • Actively support and participate in the development and implementation of employee activities/events.
  • Create and maintain concern/inquiry tracking system to ensure proper follow-up and closure of employee concerns in a timely manner.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Additional Information

HR, Organizational Development, or Psychology related degree Preferred
Manufacturing and/or Automotive experience a plus.
