What are the responsibilities and job description for the Route Driver position at Magnetic Springs Water Company?
The Route Driver’s role is to effectively service all stops assigned by the route manager. Each route and delivery day is unique and entails an average of 25-40 stops per day, including but not limited to residential, retail, and large commercial customers.
JOB FUNCTION:
Drive a company issued truck to deliver bottled water, coffee, and other products including equipment to customers who need deliveries off cycle. Recording all customer interactions and transactions using a handheld computer (Android OS)..Developing relationships by listening to and resolving issues. Performing general equipment cleaning/repairs in addition to initial troubleshooting.Maintaining frequent communication with customers in person, by phone, voicemail, email, etc. Performing general upkeep of vehicle in accordance with company policy. Additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 75lbs.Proven track record of reliability and responsibility. Clean driving record. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Self-Starter, able to work in a fast paced environment. Strong work ethic with a strong desire to succeed. Mechanical aptitude and general ability to troubleshoot basic appliances. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
