Major Job Functions:
- Plan, schedule, oversee and regulate the day-to-day operations.
- Establish and maintain the necessary operational systems and procedures and maintain limitations and controls, to ensure the most effective and profitable utilization of Magnum’s equipment and manpower under LOM’s control and direction.
- Maintain and develop positive business relationships with a customer's key personnel involved in or directly relevant.
- Stay informed of logistics technology advances, and apply appropriate technology in order to improve Magnum logistics processes
- Plan, organize, and execute logistics support activities such as manage and direct availability and allocation of Magnum equipment, resources and supplies, to customers.
- Develop an understanding of customers' needs, and take actions to ensure that such needs are met.
- Assess and review design alternatives and design change proposal impacts.
- Explain proposed solutions to customers, management, or other interested parties through written proposals and oral presentations.
- Analyze and report project plans, progress, and results.
- Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
- Direct team activities, establishing task priorities, scheduling and tracking work assignments, providing guidance, and ensuring the availability of resources.
- Responsible for logistics analysis, savings/cost opportunity analysis and the implementation and management of cost analysis measures including planning and monitoring budgets.
- Work with Managers to improve operational and performance metrics, provide information, recommendations, and coordinate project implementation for transportation and logistics cost reduction opportunities.
- Build and maintain a carrier base to meet the ever-changing needs of customers in terms of freight lane origin and destination, solicit carrier bids on selected lanes to meet anticipated requirements.
