SUMMARY
The Designer will work as part of the product engineering team developing the electrically driven AC compressor, which is a mechatronic product needed in conjunction with future hybrid or fully electrified powertrains.
The position contributes to the electrical compressor development activity by modelling and creating drawings for the compressor and its subcomponents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Designing and developing AC compressor components working with a team of Product Engineers and Designers.
- Strong functional experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- 3D modeling and 2D drawing experience required, Siemens NX experience preferred
- Participate in innovation, product cost and quality improvement initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of Design and Modeling experience is required
- Formal Drafting and Modeling training / certifications or 2 year Associates degree or equivalent is preferred
- Demonstrated experience with Siemens NX is highly desired
