What are the responsibilities and job description for the Case Manager-PIER program position at Maine Behavioral Healthcare?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a specialization in psychology, behavioral health, social work, special education, counseling, rehabilitation or closely related field is required.
- License/Certifications: Eligibility for LSW licensure preferred. MHRT A or B required, MHRT/C preferred. Valid Driver’s license and appropriate level of automobile liability insurance.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the same areas of specialization. 2 years of experience working with a broad spectrum of clients with mental health diagnoses is required. Prior experience with clinical methods and techniques used in supportive counseling as related to mental health and/or substance abuse issues is required.
- Excellent computer skills are required: Microsoft Word, Excel and use of electronic consumer record software
- Knowledge and commitment to abide by the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Social Workers
Position Summary
Maine Health is expanding its PIER Program to add a community-based Clinical High Risk for Psychosis treatment team.
This team will be trialing a new grant-funded stepped model of care with community-based services, workforce development, professional training to community providers, and targeted collaboration with underrepresented and BIPOC populations. This unique child case manager position will involve a combination of telehealth and in office work, with flexible scheduling and a modified caseload to allow for quality team-based care and specific outreach efforts to diverse communities.
The position is ideal for someone with relevant child case management experience who is interested in working as part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, obtaining specialized training in evidence-based assessment and treatments and cross-training with other disciplines, as all roles on the psychosocial team are equally-valued.
