What are the responsibilities and job description for the Benefits System Analyst position at Maine Public Employees Retirement System?
Reporting to the Director of IT, this position performs technical work involving the design, testing and implementation of pension and ancillary benefit administration system(s). Work includes collaborating in designing system modules based on user requirements and in the resolution of system design and development issues; testing of system functionality; training business users and coordinating the implementation into operation. In addition, this position provides ongoing support for data integrity initiatives of the organization, including performing records maintenance as directed by the Sr. Benefits System Analysts or the Director of IT.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with three years of progressive experience, a post-secondary degree with five years related work experience, OR any equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Strong technology skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a comparably related field, plus one (1) year of experience performing high level analytical work involving the design, development, testing, and implementation of complex computer systems.
- Prior experience with presentations, training or public speaking
Salary: Begins at $61,090 with excellent benefits.
