What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse (RN) - 13 Week Temporary Assignment – Special Care Unit (SCU) position at MaineHealth?
This is a Full time, Short Term Temporary position - 13 weeks in duration. This position is not eligible for benefits. Salary commensurate with that of a Travel assignment.
This is a one time, 13 week assignment. Incumbents are eligible to apply for regular employment with a MaineHealth Entity following completion of assignment, if position matching skill sets is available.
To be eligible for consideration
- Must be separated from a MaineHealth facility for greater than 6 months.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Position Summary (The hours for this position will consist of 36 hours per week)
The Registered Nurse provides high quality patient and family centered care; in accordance with the scope of practice defined the Maine State Board of Nursing. Through collaboration, delegation and communication with members of the healthcare team, the Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers care to a diverse population without discrimination in assigned areas. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

- Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
- License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification
- Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.
- Other Certification: As required by department, including Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women
