Position Summary:
The Executive Director is the Chief Executive Officer of Mainstream Services reporting directly to the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is a leader with knowledge / experience in the evolving world of long-term human services and the changing needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities. This is a full-time exempt position located in Lavalette, WV.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Business Administration, a mental health discipline, public administration or other area specifically related to humans’ services.
- Seven years of progressively responsible administrative, management or supervisory experience in a disability, mental health, aging and/or other human services or related setting.
- Experience must be at a leadership level, with broad policy-influencing responsibility for fiscal and program administration
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· In collaboration with the Board, facilitate the execution and communication of a vision and mission for Mainstream Services
· Provide the leadership that enables the organization to reach its vision and accomplish its mission
· Communicate to representatives of the public sector, private providers, people with intellectual disabilities, their families, guardians and caregivers the values and principles of Mainstream Services and the organization’s approach to enhancing the quality of life for all those it serves
· Develop and manage an organizational structure and design that enables all staff to exercise personal responsibility, as individuals and as team members, in contributing to the achievement of Mainstream’s goals
· Provide leadership and management that enable senior staff to optimize performance and attain individual, team and organizational goals
· Create and implement policies and procedures in line with the mission, program regulations, and the good of all staff and program participants
· Ensure compliance with regulations and all program requirements.
· Participant in all on-site and virtual reviews of Mainstream Services
· Oversee the daily operations of Mainstream Services
· Additional tasks assigned by the Board of Directors as needed.
