Extend the strategic management of marketing initiatives by connecting groups within the department and across MLB. Drives the alignment of ideas and action, and sets up the structure and processes to efficiently succeed. Supports clear communications and teamwork as part of building a collaborative and transparent Marketing culture.
Essential Functions
Collaborates with Marketing leaders to develop/manage strategic plans and align them with key stakeholders within the department and across MLB
Aids in definition of KPIs and collection of metrics; track progress against objectives
Manages cross-vertical budgets and works with Finance to escalate funding and invoicing issues
Identifies opportunities for process improvement within Marketing and collaborates with stakeholders to update and enable new ways of working
Oversees documentation and governance of departmental policies and procedures
Provides leadership and guidance for junior staff member focused on improving communications within Marketing and in building culture norms
Monitors employee satisfaction and morale within Marketing and collaborates with leaders to identify and address issues
Facilitates a culture of transparency, appreciation, and change management
Aids in other tasks, as needed, as new capabilities are defined and established
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years experience with strategic planning and change management
Management consulting experience preferred
Highly organized and structured thinker able to distill complex ideas into manageable and actionable components
Ability to balance long-term thinking with practical implementation needs and logistics
Clear communicator, both verbal and written
Self-starter who identifies needs and proactively develops solutions/recommendations to address them
Ability to collaborate with colleagues of all levels (including senior executives) and across various departments
Ability to juggle multiple projects and manage priorities and expectations, as needed
Proficiency in Google and Microsoft office applications
