Job Description/Overview
Malouf is looking for an individual with solid traditional accounting skills that can go beyond accurate reporting to provide meaningful operational insights. Looking for a growth-minded individual to join a growing team/company. The ideal candidate for this position will need to be independent while working in a well-supported collaborative environment. Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time position. General schedule is 8am-5pm Monday - Friday in the office.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare or review monthly journal entries to provide an accurate representation of financial performance; participate in month-end and year-end accounting close process
- Prepare various components of the monthly financial statement package including balance sheet, income statement and cash flow, including comparison to plan/budget and prior actuals when requested
- Complete various monthly balance sheet account reconciliation
- Assist on special projects, as directed
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
- Current CPA a plus, but not required
- 4 years of General Ledger Accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, journal entry preparation and financial reporting
- Experience with SAP a plus
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to successfully and timely manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple priorities
- Superior analytical and diagnostic skills and ability to break down complex issues and implementing appropriate resolutions
- Excellent communicator
