Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and organized individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess at Mama Foo Foo. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations, and ensuring that our guests have a seamless dining experience. Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and manage reservations in a timely and efficient manner
- Coordinate seating and table assignments to ensure a smooth dining experience
- Manage waitlists and communicate with guests regarding wait times
- Handle phone calls and take reservations in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, including managing guest lists.
- Monitor the flow of guests and adjust seating accordingly to minimize wait times
- Collaborate with servers and management to ensure seamless service
- Provide excellent customer service and handle any customer complaints or issues in a professional manner
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when handling cash and credit transactions
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Availability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with restaurant management software or systems
- Knowledge of food service operations and protocols
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
