What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Supervisor position at Mammoth Hospital?
Responsible for the daily operations of food service department, according to facility policy and procedures and federal/state regulations. Provides leadership and guidance to ensure that food quality, safety standards, and patient expectations are satisfactorily met. Maintains records of department personnel, income and expenditures, food, supplies, inventory levels, and equipment. Works closely with the Registered Dietitian to maintain compliance with standards.
What You'll Do:
- Operations Management: Manage the dietary department staffing and scheduling. Manage budgets, revenue generating services and dietary operations. Ensuring Customer services.
- Food service Management: Specify and meet standards and regulations for therapeutic diets, involving meal planning, food preparation and meal service.
- Food Safety: Assure food safety in all phases of food production, using HACCP guidelines.
- Nutrition and Medical Nutrition Therapy: Support Registered Dietitians duties as needed.

What You'll Need:
- Graduate of Dietary Manager's Program, 2 year or 4 year food service program.
- Successful completion of Certified Dietary Manager exam Required.
- Two years' experience in food service management.
- Prior experience in healthcare food service preferred.
- Food Safety Manager Certificate Required.
General Qualifications:
- Skill in motivating, coaching, and supervising food service personnel.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Mathematical and numerical skills; mechanical aptitude helpful.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrates organizational skills.
- Current awareness of legislation and regulations influencing the practice of standards of care.
Job Information:
- Full-time, varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Starting wage $30.20to $36.60based on qualifications.
