Position Overview:

Reporting to the Program Director the Customer Service Representative is tasked with developing and maintaining a customer-focused, vibrant, helpful, secure and friendly Resource Center in the Santa Barbara County America's Job Center of California (AJCC). The Customer Service Representative is the first contact for individuals calling or visiting the AJCC in-person.

Essential Functions Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping all program managers and operations colleagues meet and exceed contractual performance goals
  • Support the orientation, intake and eligibility process for participants
  • Universal services data collection
  • Collect and manage customer satisfaction/survey data collection
  • Participant referrals to partner and community services
  • Reception duties including assisting telephone callers and in-person visitors
  • Cal Jobs assistance
  • Posting and maintaining Job Boards in the office
  • Oversight of computer system, fax, copier, etc. to ensure that all is operational
  • Assists Operations Team to develop monthly reporting for Leadership Team
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum Requirements:

  • A.A. from an accredited college combined with at least 5 years experience preferably in a grant-funded agency, OR equivalent experience with a track record of success
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Car, valid Driver's License and insurance

Bilingual Spanish and English speaking ability required

Strong digital literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
