Primary responsibilities:
•Provide on-site support to an array of project management stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholder engagement and expectations.
• Develop, communicate and execute project plans aligned to customer requirements
• Set and track project scope and objectives. Define and monitor tasks, milestones and risks throughout the project.
• Lead Cross Functional teams to complete project deliverables, meeting required timelines while communicating changes in scope and/or timing to all appropriate functions
• Implement a structured approach to change management to bring the client’s organization along to achieve project objectives.
Required skills/must haves/certs:
• Project management skills: setting and monitoring scope, actions and timelines, risk identification and mitigation
• Change Management Certification or Significant Experience
• Interact with customers, specifically to understand expectations, requirements and coordination through the project
• Strong leadership skills to effectively work with all team members
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated to work independently or in a group
• Ability to assess a situation or process, make recommendations and goals for improvement, develop a plan for implementation, and gather inputs and buy-in for the approach.
• Ability to manage client and team relationships
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities
• Ability to be flexible, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and fast-paced situations
Essential Experience:
• 10+ years' experience managing organizational change-based projects
• 10+ years' experience managing projects with a certified earned value management system
• Experience and understanding working within DOE Order 413.3b or an equivalent specification
Qualifications:
• B.S. degree required.
• Experience managing projects within the Department of Energy
