Professional Job Description: Billing Customer Service Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Billing Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The incumbent in this role will be responsible for a range of crucial tasks, including assisting customers and internal stakeholders with billing inquiries, maintaining financial records, managing collections, and ensuring the accurate and timely handling of financial transactions. This position demands unwavering attention to detail and a strong commitment to upholding confidentiality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist customers with billing inquiries, providing exceptional service and solutions to their concerns.
2. Collaborate with Sales Agents and Customer Service Representatives to address billing-related issues and concerns.
3. Conduct daily reviews of past due billing reports to identify and address outstanding payments promptly.
4. Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, including customer invoicing and payment processing.
5. Oversee collections processes to ensure the timely recovery of outstanding debts.
6. Review and reconcile monthly commission statements to maintain financial accuracy.
7. Perform bank account reconciliations to ensure financial records are in sync with bank statements.
8. Process bank deposits, posting transactions to both client and company accounts accurately.
9. Issue checks and electronic fund transfers (EFTs) in compliance with established procedures.
10. Maintain a high level of attention to detail to prevent errors and inaccuracies in financial transactions.
11. Uphold strict confidentiality standards when handling sensitive financial information.
12. Fulfill other ad-hoc billing responsibilities as required by the organization.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
- Office hours: Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.
Compensation:
- Competitive compensation at a rate of $17.50 per hour.
