Human Resources Generalist

MANDEX currently has a need for a Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team in Fairfax, VA!
The HR Generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resource department, with a focus on benefits administration and recruiting. Responsibilities:
- Address and resolve all Company and personnel issues related to standard HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
- Manage the in-house talent acquisition efforts and recruitment processes as regulated by the OFCCP.
- Lead orientation and onboarding of new employees, including initiating background checks through Sterling and verification of I-9’s through E-Verify.
- Lead off-boarding, exit interviews, and benefit terminations of departing employees.
- Act as a liaison between MANDEX and external benefits providers for the administration of competitive compensation packages and employee benefits.
- Create and update Company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor regulations that may impact the Company, including but not limited to the OFCCP, EEOC, FLSA, and ADA.
- Organize and execute all annual reporting requirements including, but not limited to, Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), EEO-1, and VETS 4212.
- Manage and determine FMLA leave requests, Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), and Worker’s Compensation requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Human Resources files, records, and documentation, performing periodic audits of filings
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of HR-related office experience. Government Contractor experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with recruiting.
- Well-versed in employment relations and payroll practices. Knowledge of and experience with the SCA and OFCCP is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
- Prior working experience with Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Talent, and Employee Navigator is a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
