What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sensory Scientist position at MANE?

We have a new and exciting position for a Sensory Scientist for our Parsippany, NJ location. The Sensory Scientist is responsible to provide sensory support to Consumer Insights, R&D, Category Management, Sales and Quality Control as needs arise. The Sensory Scientist will provide value to projects and company efforts with some direction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define sensory objectives and provide leadership in determining appropriate sensory test strategies and methods for sensory testing
- Assists in establishing team goals and executing departmental/organizational goals and objectives
- Provides education to company personnel in the field of sensory science
- Moderate engagement with external customers
- Involved with scientific research and conducts regular scientific literature reviews
- Design and conduct tests, analyze data, write reports, and present findings
- Design and execute training of panelists and internal developers
- Assist with descriptive program, as needed
- Highlight sensory capabilities (via presentations, tours, etc.) to both internal and external customers

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree required (emphasis in Sensory Science); Master’s Degree preferred
- Five or more years of experience in an R&D environment, preferably in the fragrance industry
