Executive Director (ALF) Essential Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide an environment for residents that foster positive customer outcomes.
- Assist with planning, organizing and implementing services, programs and activities, in accordance with all current rules and regulations that apply to Assisted Living Facilities.
- Participate in the development, maintenance and updating of policies and procedures, job descriptions, in-services and resident care forms for the community.
- Provide direction and supervision to all staff and support them as needed.
- Provide written and oral reports to the Regional Director regarding facility performance.
Executive Director (ALF) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism. Must be able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public. Must be able to work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and potentially hostile people within the facility. Must be able to speak and write English in an understandable manner.
Executive Director (ALF) Education and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree is necessary. A degree in Public Health Administration or Business Administration, or a health related degree is preferred but not required.
2 years experience in health care management.
Executive Director (ALF) Licensing/Certifications
Must possess a current Minnesota, unencumbered Assisted Living Director Licensure (LALD)
