Our client is seeking anAutomation and Commissioning Engineerto support PLC/HMI development as well as participate in commissioning projects for their client. This role is a contract to direct opening located in Champlin, MN. On average 20% travel to client sites can be expected.

Job Title: Senior Automation Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Pay: 40-55/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical cabinets
- Perform complete system I/O check prior to shipment to confirm proper wiring and airline terminations per project documents (P&ID, Electrical, Pneumatic and so on).
- Develop PLC and HMI programs/software utilizing P&ID, Electrical and Pneumatic drawing documents, customer specifications and associated project documents and/or information.
- Take direction and assist as required the senior Automation Engineering staff for project development and implementation during the development phase in Champlin.
- Travel to customer site to conduct system I/O checks, pre-commissioning start up and final full commissioning of membrane systems.
- Associates and/or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Process Control and Process Optimization experience required
- PLC programming skills required (experience writing code required)
- Minimum of three years experience working as an Automation Engineer
- Previous experience in food and/or beverage a plus
