Analyze the current method of production operations, identification, and implementation of process improvements
Identification and developing of alternative methods for making manufacturing practices more efficient and cost effective
Identify space constraints, material requirements and current needs in order to improve process
Review quality standards, drawings, and controlled documents of each product to make sure there are no problems.
Make recommendations to have the best use of personnel, production timelines, equipment and supplies.
Develop documentation and information related to the manufacturing of Sunair’s products.
Develop an accurate database of all production data, yields and efficiencies.
Provide solutions when presented with process concerns
Responsibility for proper training of all production personnel
Familiarity with key vendors and their capabilities
- Re-lay out the shop using lean principles including U shaped cells, proximity for less travel/lower Tact times, 3P etc.
  - This should end up with extensive empty space that can be used to bring a new product line into.
- Incorporate Visual Factory controls on the cells and floors.
- Create, setup and maintain a formal FOD program. (ISO/AS requirement)
- Key contributor/organizer in Sitewide 6S Sort event in Sept.
