PAY RANGE: $54,000 - $112,164 Annual Salary

CALENDAR: 190 Days

Global Primary Academy:
Global Primary Academy is a PK-3 PYP-authorized IB school and a part of the IB family of schools on the Broadway Campus. This small school gives teachers the time, space, and support to dive into content standards and focus on PK-3 academic success, with a heavy focus on early literacy. A student’s ownership of learning begins day one, with opportunities to connect their learning to their community and world.

The building was designed to bridge the comforts of home with the wonders of nature, to help our students become brave and curious learners. GPA is also home to the youngest Student Council in Mapleton! GPA students make seamless transitions to GIA for grades 4-8, and GLA, for grades 9-12. Valley View Innovations School:
Valley View Innovation School (VVIS) is a PK-8th grade project-based learning school powered by curiosity. VVIS features flexible and sophisticated designs unexpected in a PK-8 school, including creative and intentional deviations from traditional classroom settings and structures. This innovative setting empowers students to not just learn content, but live content. At each grade level, students build their academic year around three or more engaging, multi-disciplinary projects that rigorously address Colorado Academic standards. Fueled by each student’s engaging, thoughtful, and complex questions, projects come to life in one of six Immersion Studios – robotics, technology, culinary arts, art, music, and science. Projects incorporate more standards at one time and build cross-curricular connections.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Colorado teaching license with an appropriate Physical Education endorsement required.
  • Additional endorsement in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education preferred, *or willingness to pursue endorsement or equivalent coursework. *
  • K-3 teachers must provide documentation of evidence-based literacy training per CDE requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Have a commitment to raising achievement among all students including high-need students, students with disabilities, and those who are performing below grade level.
  • Develop lesson plans which ensure instruction is paced well, encourages students to think critically, engages all students in authentic and productive learning, and ensures smooth classroom management.
  • Provide students with skills necessary to meet or exceed the Grade Level Expectations of the Colorado Academic Standards with defined sequential outcomes, authentic and engaging work, and modeled assessment expectations.
  • Clearly communicate student progress and achievements throughout course work with students and parents.
  • Maintain professional communications and interactions with students, parent community, and staff.
  • Willingness and ability to collaborate with colleagues across content areas. Collaboration includes participating in planning meetings to develop integrated instruction and improve teaching practices, implementing a rigorous curriculum, authentic instruction, and multiple assessment strategies.
  • Attend and take full advantage of professional development offered.
  • Willing to undergo training in the International Baccalaureate Model.
  • Model, instill, and actively participate in building a supportive and positive culture through GPA’s learner profiles.
