March is seeking a talented Vice President / Senior Investment Associate to join our growing firm this summer of 2024. This is a unique opportunity to join one of LA’s largest funds to work closely with the investment team on all aspects of the investment process.
Responsibilities
- Perform diligence on potential investments, including market sizing, technology walkthroughs, competitive landscapes, financial modeling, and reference calls
- Conduct market research on industry trends, sectors, and companies and develop a point of view
- Create presentation materials for internal and external consumption, as well as investment memos for deals
- Take meetings with entrepreneurs, evaluate investments, and track internal deal flow
- Represent March Capital at industry events and build relationships within the startup and investor ecosystems
- Provide ongoing support for portfolio companies
Qualifications
- 5 total years of full-time experience in buyside (VC / PE), at a top-tier investment banking / consulting firm, or a leading tech company (B2B SaaS / AI)
- Analytical mindset; able to conduct financial analysis and synthesize large amounts of data to summarize diligence findings
- Strong verbal and written communication; able to draft in-depth investment memos clearly outlining merits and risks of an investment
- High level of maturity and ability to work both in teams and independently
- Passion for investing, new technologies, and startups
- Optional: An advanced degree, such as an MBA
