Marcum LLP has a full time job opening for a mid-level in house Desktop Engineer. This is a fun and fast -paced environment that requires desktop engineering skills for day-to-day and project based firm-wide desktop initiatives.
Required skills and Daily job functions will include:
- Intermediate to advanced technical knowledge and experience in a Windows 10 environment to design, administer, build and deploy Windows O/S and application packages-preferably using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Intune
- Scripting experience using several languages for automation. PowerShell preferred. Knowledge of SQL is a plus
- Strong hardware experience with items such as driver troubleshooting, performance benchmarking, crash dump analysis, and data recovery a plus.
- Active Directory, GPO experience; maintaining, designing and testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication experience, including creating and maintaining proper documentation with regard to system images, application packages, System Center Configuration Manager/Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Intune, etc.
- A , Dell or Microsoft Certifications a plus
Additional Job Functions include:
- Performing oversight tasks with regard to application deployment
- Maintaining system health in various system consoles including though not limited to Endpoint Encryption, Patch Management and Software Deployment
- Assisting with the maintenance of all business applications including regular updates, new installations and bug fixes where needed.
- Coordinating with Business Application Specialists and report on current issues and/or trends needing greater attention and focus
- Leveraging existing tools\applications to solve application\system issues and learning business processes as they relate to application deployment and technology
- Participation in firm mergers and integrations in varying capacities
- Troubleshooting escalated incidents and problems; This includes acting as a point of escalation for support problems and incidents that are not able to be resolved by the Service Desk and presenting issues to the management related to support or implementation struggles uncovered by the service group
- Assisting with evaluating/testing new software and business solutions
- Be available for occasional on-call support including nights and weekends
