About the Position:
The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in a similar role and will be responsible for planning and completing engagements, supervising staff, interacting with clients and preparing audit, review and compilation financial statements for clients in various industries.
Responsibilities:
High level review of audits, reviews and compilations in various industries including but not limited to SEC, middle market private and small business
Manages multiple engagements simultaneously, prepares a final product that requires minimal review by Partners
Advanced technical knowledge of accounting and reporting standards
Identifies audit and risk management issues and proposes potential solutions through research and collaboration with Quality Review and Engagement Partner
Stays current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements
Review audit procedures, workpapers and financial statements of staff with limited supervision from Partners
Train and mentor Senior and Staff, answers questions from staff and engagement team, as well as client and engagement partners
Communicate effectively with clients; challenges client data when necessary in a respectful and appropriate manner; develops long and positive client relations
Communicate with Experienced Staff and Senior on work status and ask questions as needed
Leads engagement planning meetings with team, identifies strategic staffing structure for efficient scheduling
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
Master's degree in Accounting preferred
7-10 years of experience in a similar role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, but also work well with others
Experience with ProSystem Engagement a plus
CPA preferred
