Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise. As a Cashier, the Cashier promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on knowledge of Front-End activities. The Cashier adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Basic product handling skills

Accurately enters tenders at POS
Maintains high cleanliness standards – clean as you go, inclusive of washing, cleaning, sweeping, mopping
Assists with Front-End maintenance
Assists with General Member responsibilities
Working knowledge of all Checkstand equipment
Fills/Faces Checkstand merchandise
Demonstrates high level of operational execution
Fast paced and exhibits sense of urgency
Working knowledge of Front-End legal, safety, and sanitation SOP’s
Consistent execution of all Front-End SOP’s
3. Performance Focus – Assists financial results in Sales and Supplies and Shrink Management.

Speed of Service for checking out customers

Plans work duties appropriately during scheduled shift to accomplish all assigned tasks

Physical Skills – Frequent ability to lift/carry 2 to 40 lbs., push/pull up to 200lbs., turning, standing, reaching, squatting, stooping/bending, walking. Use of scanner, register, scale, coupon and check approval terminals, intercom
Physical Skills – Occasional – Lifting more than 40 lbs., equipment operation (adding machine, calculator), squatting, stooping/bending, walking
Education or Experience – Minimum High school education or currently enrolled
Environmental – On occasion, exposure to colder temperatures (35 – 40 degrees), on occasion work outdoors.
