Responsible for demonstrating a love of food and passion for people that includes incredible Customer Service and performance excellence through department knowledge and technical expertise. As a Deli member, the Deli Clerk promotes and delivers a shopping experience focused on providing customers the level of service to which we have publicly committed by providing efficient service through hands-on knowledge of Deli products. The Deli clerk adheres to organizational procedures, policies and systems including food quality standards and food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Deli Clerk is focused on driving sales through suggestive selling, sampling and promoting sales events.

4. Planning Focus –

Physical Skills – Occasional: Lifting/carrying more than 60 lbs., equipment operation (compactor,ice machine). Pushing/pulling 100 to 550 lbs., climbing ladders, equipment operation (shopping cart, cleaning utensils), stooping, crawling
Education or Experience – Minimum High school education or currently enrolled
Environmental – Exposure to colder temperatures – Coolers/Freezers (-20 to 40 degrees) works close to heated surfaces exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil
