Job Summary
We have an exciting new opportunity at the home of the Geckos! Apply today for the Student Services Analyst position! This role will coordinate, administer and implement programs by providing operational planning, program management and evaluation, problem-solving and technical assistance. The analyst will perform program coordination and administration, provide training to new and current staff. . The Student Services Analyst will coordinate workflow and implementation of policies and procedures. The Analyst will perform more technically complex and difficult student advising and processing as well as identify resources needed to address students’ circumstances and potential barriers. Advises a cohort of students by appointment, walk-in, electronically and over the phone or as elevated by other student services staff. Prepares reports and maintains records, and tracks students’ performance and progress. May evaluate admissions data such as transcripts and transfer credit. May calculate and assess fees or administer loans or other programs. They will provide information and technical assistance regarding program guidelines and applicable laws, policies, rules and regulations.

Essential Functions
35% - Lead and coordinate back office workflow, including but not limited to incoming/outgoing transcripts, records request, graduation-processing, attendance, articulation, eForms, National Student Clearinghouse; address concerns and resolves problems; composes edits and prepares correspondence and reports; implements quality assurance to include regular review (e.g. spot-checks) to ensure accuracy and integrity of completed transactions and records maintenance.
30% - Reviews program requirements criteria to evaluate and determine enrollment, attendance and graduation eligibility; and/or evaluates policies and procedures to determine and ensure program compliance with college, district, federal and state laws; generates and reviews various exception reports in ASSIST, PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS), SQL Server Reporting System (SSRS)or other databases on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis until resolved; monitors student’s enrollment and attendance daily
15% - Serves as a backup to the front counter/welcome desk as needed to meet deadlines and department goals; assists new and continuing students in person, over the phone and via email in all student services processes including admissions, registration, financial aid, and referrals to other related student services functions
10% - Develops and maintains relationships and coordination with GWCC academic department, program managers, instructors, Student Affairs departments, and other internal and external partners to develop a thorough understanding of the programs, services and business processes
10% - Assist with training and prepare training materials for new and current team members and/or other departments; attends departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities; performs other duties as assigned at various GWCC locations.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
OR
Associate’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
OR
High School Diploma/GED and six (6) years of student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
Desired Qualifications
A. Two (2) or more years’ experience working with college, district, federal and state requirements in a One-Stop Enrollment Services and/or Admissions & Records Office in a higher education institution. At least one-year experience working in Clock hour programs calculating attendance hours and performing degree audits
B. Two (2) or more years’ experience working with online Student Information System such as PeopleSoft and/or other related systems (e.g., Qless, SQL Server Reporting System - SSRS)
C. Two (2) or more years’ experience auditing and reporting data; experience collecting, interpreting, and presenting statistical data including databases and spreadsheets using reporting systems
D. Two (2) or more years’ experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, databases.
E. Two (1) or more years’ experience working with sensitive or confidential data and/or materials
F. One (1) or more years’ experience with developing processes and procedures for training and/or presentations to a diverse group of students and staff
