JOB TITLE: Back Waiter STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: General Manager HOURS: Part-time

Position Summary: Quick, efficient, and quiet clearing, cleaning and re-setting of tables and assisting servers in providing friendly and efficient service to our guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of 13 PRIME STEAK.
- Sets up and restocks service stations before, during and after service; restocks glassware, ice, and other items for the bar.
- Serves water, bread, and butter to guests in assigned area immediately upon being seated. Serves refreshments regularly throughout the dining experience.
- Removes dishes, silverware, glassware, and all other items when guests are finished using them. Replaces items as needed for next course.
- Returns dirty dishware, glassware, utensils, and linen to the dishwashing areas; sorts items placing them in proper areas.
- Clean and sanitize all table items after guest is finished and guest has left the table.
- Run food to guest tables.
- Knowledge of table and seat numbers in restaurant.
- Resets vacated tables according to the restaurant procedures.
- Performs all closing duties/side work before end of shift.

- Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
- Ability to remain alert and focused in noisy and fast-paced environment.

- Able to attend all scheduled employee meetings and trainings, including safety meetings.
- Completion of Food handler’s card within 30 days of employment.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Responsible Beverage Service Training (18 )
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods walking or standing.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and place up to 60 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to work on days, nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently.

Workplace Designations:

Base Pay and Compensation:
The Back Waiter will receive an hourly wage starting at $16.00, plus tips. This position is a part-time position and will be required to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed.

Work Environment/Physical Demands Summary:
The employee typically works in a noisy, fast paced, restaurant environment, setting and clearing tables and working with restaurant staff. This position must be able to coordinate with, fill in for and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift, and carry; frequently required to handle and use repetitive hand motion, to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 60 pounds occasionally.
