What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern - Associate CAM position at Marinette School District?
Fincantieri Marinette Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Group Company, is a progressive shipyard specializing in building ships for the United States Navy. We currently have an opportunity for a Purchasing Intern at our Marinette, Wisconsin location.
The function of the Intern is to develop the skills/capabilities necessary to perform as a long-term, fulltime employee within the Purchasing organization at Fincantieri Marinette Marine or within the Fincantieri Marine Group. In fulfilling this function he/she will assist the various functions within the Purchasing department and throughout FMM with special assignments, becoming familiar with Marinette Marine standards and enabling him/her to fulfill the internship requirement for his/her school and/or resume.
Sample Projects Include:
*Review Purchase Orders to ensure costs are being allocated correctly
*Updating Excel spreadsheets as they relate to Purchasing
*Creating Ad Hoc Excel spreadsheets
*Analyzing database proving detailed results and diving with buyers and/or other department about content of data to be sure to deliver expected analysis result
*Dive on scope of work and POs to determine content, discrepancies, data useful for analysis requested (with supervisor support)
*Perform cost analysis given a scope of work (with supervisor support)
*Analyze historical data, compare and benchmark with market trend and be able to communicate properly the results
*Help validate data within the business system
