What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist position at Marion Body Works?
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Adheres to SOP quality procedures and established procedures for reconcile inventory variances- Reconcile physical counts to perpetual inventory; research discrepancies and report variances in cycle counts to management.
- Perform cycle counts per predefined plan
- Maintain location maintenance and negative inventory report
- Update cycle count codes based on ABC Report
- Prepare monthly report out by product line of inventory variances.
- Create and log Kanban Cards
- Process material non-conformances
- Perform manual material withdrawals
- Perform employee training for inventory accuracy
- Maintain regular attendance so counts are done timely to main accurate inventory
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Support Materials Manager in vendor optimization, quality improvement, and cost reduction initiatives- Back up Warehouse Assistant
- Back up Purchasing Assistant
- Provide support to production managers with parts issues
- Working knowledge of Marion Body Work’s product flow and mfg processes
- Other tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma.- Minimum of 2 years of inventory management and reconciliation, preferable in manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft office products
