What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Apprentice I position at Mark Anthony Brewing Inc.?
As a Research Apprentice your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of process equipment through active operations engagement management, process monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Support the implementation of research and evaluation projects.
- Conduct and document research investigations.
- Prepare quantitative measurement tools for distribution by formatting paper forms or building electronic surveys.
- Collect qualitative and quantitative data by conducting interviews/observations and administering surveys/assessments as needed.
- Develop codebooks to ensure accurate data entry and storage.
- Enter quantitative data into spreadsheets ensuring the appropriate data structure and security.
- Prepare data for analysis by cleaning, coding, and merging data.
- Conduct qualitative (coding, theming) and quantitative data analysis (descriptives, ANOVA, regression, multivariate).

Qualifications, Education, & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Life Sciences: Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Physics, Food Science
- 0 to7 years working experience
- Master’s Degree a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication verbal and written communication skills
- Works collaboratively within various teams
- Working knowledge of ISO, GMP, and HACCP food safety as it relates to the manufacturing process
- Ability to adjust communication/leadership style as needed and when appropriate
- Solution oriented, critical thinking, efficient decision making, and RCFA
- Strong analytical background including knowledge of statistical applications and tools
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking
- Ability to receive regular feedback and act upon it accordingly
- Demonstrated drive for learning and teaching/sharing best practices with others
- Fermentation, Distillation, blending, packaging experience a plus
- Forklift experience a plus
- Proficient with personal computers and business applications such as Minitab, MS office, MS office, excel, word; email; and Teams
